SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–There was some turmoil in the latest Big Central Gridiron Union County rankings, but not at the top where Union remains after its 49-7 victory over Hunterdon Central. Cranford remains close to the top at No. 2 following its hard fought, come from behind victory at Montgomery (26-14).
However, with Rahway’s come from behind win at Hillside on Saturday, New Providence moved up to No. 3 and Brearley is right behind at No. 4 while Summit inches back up to No. 5 although the Hilltoppers have lost three straight. Hillside drops to No. 7. Current record in parenthesis.
