SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ—Election Day just passed and the annual NJEA Convention is scheduled to take place on Thursday and Friday, and the opening round of state playoff games begin on Friday night. It is going to be a big week of coverage for Big Central Gridiron staring with NJSIAA Regional Crossover Games on Wednesday night.
On Wednesday evening, BCG will head over to Tozier Stadium in Warren to take in the Group 5 regional crossover contest between Watchung Hills and Morristown. Then, on Thursday, Big Central Gridiron will have an NJSIAA Regional Crossover Tripleheader. Starting on Thursday afternoon, BCG will be taking in at least parts of three different regional crossovers.
First, BCG will be at Denny Stadium in South River to see the Rams take on Bordentown of Burlington County at 1:00 PM. Next, we will travel up to Lou Bartha Stadium in Iselin to see the J.F. Kennedy Mustangs host Paterson Kennedy at 4:00 PM. Finally, BCG will head up to Arminio Field in Roselle to see the Rams in action versus Keansburg.
On Friday, Big Central Gridiron begins its coverage of the 2021 NJSIAA State Tournament will a visit to David A. Noonan Memorial Field in Hillsborough to see the top seeded Raiders host eighth seeded New Brunswick in the opening round of the Central Jersey Group 5 State Tournament. Then, on Saturday, BCG will head up to Woodfield Stadium at Conant Street Park in Hillside to see the 4th seeded Comets host Overbrook in the first round of the Central Jersey Group 2 State Tournament.
