SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–It should be quite a battle in the Big Central Conference’s newly named and aligned National Silver Division. Sayreville, North Brunswick, and Edison all figure to be in the thick of that division race. Meanwhile, the National Gold could be wide open with any of the teams including Piscataway having a shot to win the crown. Sayreville gets the pre-season nod for No. 1 in Middlesex County. Last year’s records in parenthesis:
- Sayreville (8-3)
- North Brunswick (8-4)
- St. Thomas Aquinas (9-1)
- Woodbridge (7-3)
- Edison (7-4)
- Colonia (8-3)
- South Brunswick (4-5)
- Monroe (4-6)
- Old Bridge (6-4)
- St. Joseph’s (3-6)
Other teams considered: East Brunswick (8-2), Carteret (3-8), Piscataway (0-8), and New Brunswick (4-6).
