Four Games Scheduled for Regional Crossovers and State Playoffs
SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The first round of both the 2023 NJSIAA Regional Crossovers and State Playoffs are upon us, and BCG looks to cover four games this week. On Wednesday night, Big Central Gridiron’s Week 9 coverage schedule begins with a trip out to Nutley High School for the Regional Crossover match-up between the Red Raiders and North Plainfield Canucks.
On Thursday evening, BCG will take the trip out to Mendham High School in Morris County to take in the opening round of the NJSIAA North Jersey Group 3 Regional Invitational Tournament between the host school Minutemen and Voorhees of the Big Central Conference’s Patriot Gold Division.
Moving on to the playoffs, Big Central Gridiron will begin its playoff coverage with a visit to Tozier Stadium in Warren to see 2nd-seeded Watchung Hills take on 7th-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan in the opening round of the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 1 Group 5 playoffs.
Finally, on Saturday, BCG will wrap up its regular season coverage with a trip over to Pope John XXIII High School in Sparta where the highly touted Lions will host St. Joseph’s in a battle of Non-Public A schools tuning up for the Non-Public State Playoffs, which will get underway next weekend.
