SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Another Big Central Conference season is upon us. Thursday night starts the fifth year of BCC football. Big Central Gridiron is back for its fourth official year. Week 0 is the opening weekend of the 2024 New Jersey High School football season, and many BCC teams are in action.
BCG plans to cover at least one game this week before going on a Labor Day Holiday vacation. There are exactly 30 games on the Week 0 schedule with twelve on Thursday night, fifteen on Friday night, and three on Saturday. A total of 40 BCC teams will be in action.
Week 0 big match-ups include Hillsborough at Somerville and Woodbridge at Old Bridge on Thursday night. Union travels over to Seton Hall Prep to start action on Friday afternoon in West Orange. Meanwhile, in the other part of West Orange, Hillside will be facing Snyder in the Mountaineer Classic.
On Saturday, North Hunterdon visits Hunterdon Central while St. Thomas Aquinas travels down to Wilmington, Delaware to face off against Mount St. Joseph’s of Baltimore in the Mid-Atlantic Pigskin Classic. Below are BCG’s Week 0 picks:
