Talented Raiders Have High Aspirations for 2024 season
SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The Hillsborough Raiders went through the 2021 season with an undefeated 13-0 record, a BCC Division 5B title, a CJ Group 5 crown, and a South Jersey Group 5 Regional Championship. At the same time, the Raiders had a talented group of freshmen that went undefeated.
Now those freshmen are seniors at Hillsborough and are looking to achieve the glory of that 2021 season with an additional step, a state championship. However, the Raiders will need to go through Ridge and a Somerville squad that has a lot of firepower back this year including QB
Brenden Pahcheco, RB Terrell Mitchell, and WR Brady Scheier among others.
Bernards lost a great deal from last year’s sectional championship team. However, the Mountaineers have built up a solid program that should help them maintain their level of recent excellence into 2024. Last season’s records are in parentheses.
- Hillsborough (8-3)
- Ridge (8-2)
- Immaculata (7-4)
- Somerville (5-5)
- Bernards (12-1)
- Watchung Hills (8-3)
- Bridgewater-Raritan (3-7)
- Montgomery (8-1-1)
- Franklin (3-8)
- Pingry (6-2)
Other Teams Considered: North Plainfield (1-10), Bound Brook (2-7), and Manville (3-7).
