OLD BRIDGE, NJ – On Friday night, Piscataway travels up to DeMarco Stadium at Lombardi Field in Old Bridge to take on the Knights in a Big Central Conference National Gold Division match-up. It will be the 31st time that the Chiefs and Knights are meeting. Piscataway has dominated the series and is looking to win its fourth straight over its long-time Middlesex County rival.
Both teams return to action for Week 2 after playing games in both Week 0 and Week 1. Piscataway won its season opener over Manalapan of the Shore Conference on August 30th and then lost to Bridgewater-Raritan (52-48) in a wild one last Friday night. Both Chiefs’ games were played at home in the friendly confines of Kenny Armwood Stadium. Jahai Johnson returned three kickoffs for TDs for the Chiefs in the loss to the Panthers.
Old Bridge also played both of its games at home in DeMarco Stadium at Lombardi Field. On opening night, the Knights fell in a heartbreaker to Woodbridge (36-34) before turning things around with a win over Edison last Saturday (27-7). Brody Nugent has been the star for the Knights with 9 TDs including five rushing and four through the air.
