Aquinas Remains atop the Latest BCG Top 10
In preparation for Week 7, Big Central Gridiron put together its latest top ten following Week 6 play. With a dominant 57-7 victory over Edison last Friday, the Trojans of St. Thomas Aquinas remained atop the latest BCG Top 10 with a 5-2 overall mark.
The Trojans remain undefeated in the Big Central Conference at 4-0 including an unblemished 3-0 mark in the BCC’s National Silver Division. Aquinas has outscored its opponents by a margin of 293 to 126, or by an average of 42 to 18 per game. In BCC games, Aquinas has outscored its foes by a margin of 180 to 27 or by an average of about 45 to 7 per contest.
Unbeaten Somerville and Bernards take the next two spots while Ridge moves into 4th. The BCG Top 10 did a bit more shifting around this past week than in previous weeks. With Phillipsburg defeating St. Joseph’s handily, Bernards, Ridge, Woodbridge, and the Stateliners were all able to move up one spot while the Falcons slipped to 7th.
Thanks to its win over division-rival, Bridgewater-Raritan last Thursday night, Hillsborough moved up to 8th while Piscataway made its first appearance at No. 9 and the Panthers slipped to 10th. Four of the five teams in the BCC’s American Silver remain in the latest Top 10. Current records in parenthesis:
