Despite its recent swoon, the Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers are still in very good position to not only qualify in North Jersey Group 5, but could perhaps get a home game in the opening round next week. The Panthers have played a very tough schedule with not only the likes of the American Silver, but also BCC foes such as Westfield and Elizabeth as well as non-conference opponents such as Notre Dame and Morris Knolls.
Additional Facts – Phillipsburg
Despite losing to Ridge on the road in Week 3, the Liners are still ranked higher than the Red-Devils in North Group 4. Phillipsburg has the highest ranking of any team in North Group 4. Playing a tough schedule with the likes of West Orange out of conference as well as Westfield and Union out of division has helped in terms of OSI, Strength Index, and Power Points.
BCG’s Prediction
Phillipsburg just has too many weapons for Bridgewater-Raritan to overcome. The Stateliners are averaging more than 36 points per game while Bridgewater-Raritan gives up over 35 points per contest. Easton looms on the horizon as well as the playoffs for the Stateliners. The Red Rovers have been looking really good. Could be a great game at Lafayette College on Thanksgiving.
Prediction: Phillipsburg wins 35-14.
