Nine Schools from the Big Central Conference are competing in all four NJSIAA Group 5 Sectional Tournaments: Bridgewater-Raritan, Edison, Elizabeth, Hillsborough, Hunterdon Central, Linden, Old Bridge, Piscataway, and Plainfield.
SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – On Friday night, state tournament play began, and nine schools from the Big Central Conference are competing in all four sections of the NJSIAA Group 5 State Tournament. Linden and Piscataway are competing in North Jersey Section 1 Group 5. Bridgewater-Raritan, Elizabeth, and Plainfield are competing in North Jersey Section 2 Group 5. Hunterdon Central and Old Bridge represent the BCC in Central Jersey Group 5. Edison and Hillsborough represent the BCC in South Jersey Group 5. Elizabeth and Hillsborough are the highest-seeded Big Central Conference schools in this Group. Elizabeth is the 2nd seed in North Jersey Section 2 Group 5 while Hillsborough is the No. 2 seed in South Jersey Group 5. Piscataway and Old Bridge are seeded third in their respective brackets. This is the only group where a BCC school is seeded in all four sections.
