Annual Westfield-Plainfield Turkey Day Game Moved to Week 0

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The kickoff of the 2025 New Jersey High School season is just a few days away, and Big Central Gridiron is taking a look to at the rivalry games on the schedule around the BCC this season.  

A lot of these rivalry games used to be played on Thanksgiving, but due to the changing landscape of high school football in New Jersey, they have been moved to a different week during the season.  The most recent of these changes was the annual Westfield-Plainfield Turkey Day Game being moved to Week 0.  Now, only two games involving Big Central schools remain on Thanksgiving.
