2024 BCG Season Rewind – BCC Patriot Gold

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – As we get underway with the 2025 New Jersey High School football season, let’s take a quick look back at the 2024 campaign.  Next stop on the tour is the Big Central Conference’s Patriot Gold Division, won by Bernards, with Delaware Valley finishing second.

The Mountaineers almost duplicated what they did in 2023 when they defeated Lakeland Regional to win the North Jersey Section 2 Group 2 Championship.  Bernards fell short to Shabazz in the North Jersey Section 1 Group 2 title game. 

Nevertheless, the Mountaineers, led by QB Nolan Walsh, RB/LB Terrence Hanratty, WR Jack Morra, DB Max Austin, DL/OL Daniel Ferguson, WR/DB Aiden Gribben, and DL/OL David Silva, won their third straight BCC Patriot Gold Division crown.  Delaware Valley had one of the most potent offenses and stout defenses in the BCC, led by QB Kelton Ibach.
