2024 BCG Season Rewind – BCC Patriot Silver

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – As we get underway with the 2025 New Jersey High School football season, let’s take a quick look back at the 2024 campaign.  Next stop on the tour is the Big Central Conference’s Patriot Silver Division, won by A.L. Johnson, with New Providence finishing second and Metuchen finishing third.

Led by the duo of QB Robert Gallagher and RB Ryan George, the Crusaders of A.L. Johnson won the BCC’s Patriot Silver Division in 2024 and were one of the top scoring and rushing teams in the Big Central Conference.  New Providence finished 2nd in the division, but reached the North Jersey Section 2 Group 1 Championship game before falling to powerhouse Cedar Grove.  

QB T.J. Munn and RB A.J. Whitehead led the Pioneers on offense, while Owen Silver, Jack Fitzgerald, and Mike Petses also contributed in all phases.  Metuchen made strides behind the likes of QB Ryan Toth, RB Evan Toth, TE Dennis Toth, and WRs Cam Hayes-Durina and Justus Leitner.
