BCG’s Middlesex County Top 10 – September 28, 2025

Top-ranked St. Thomas Aquinas and second-ranked St. Joseph’s are on a collision course to meet as the two best teams in Middlesex County in three weeks.

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The St. Thomas Aquinas Trojans have been the most dominant of all the football teams in Middlesex County over the past several seasons. However, St. Joseph’s has begun to close the gap.

A year ago, Aquinas fought off a fierce challenge from the Falcons at Brenner Family Field in Metuchen to get its first win in the brief rivalry between the two schools, which was revived following no meetings for eight years. Joes is looking to knock the Trojans off of their perch on October 17th at Aquinas.

Sayreville and Woodbridge have quietly put together solid seasons, and are lying in the weeds to get their chance at knocking off Aquinas and Joes in their regular season finales on October 24th and 25th.
