BCG’s Week 6 Picks

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The 2025 New Jersey High School Football Season is moving very quickly.  We are now beyond the midway point of the season as we enter the first full week of October with Big Central Conference Football coverage.    Big Central Gridiron has a big slate of games planned for this week beginning on Friday night.  BCG will take a trip out to Springfield to cover the Bulldogs of Jonathan Dayton against Spotswood.

Then, on Saturday, Big Central Gridiron plans to cover a freshman football game in the morning followed by a clash of No. 1 and No. 2 as top ranked Phillipsburg travels to Brenner Family Field in Metuchen to take on St. Joseph’s in a BCC Crossover.  BCG also plans to cover games at all levels.  On Wednesday, Big Central Gridiron covered a Middle School contest between Piscataway and Linden and on Thursday, BCG visited The Pit in Carteret for a freshman contest between the Ramblers and Hillside.  

The BCC division games are back on tap this week with Ridge taking on Hunterdon Central and Bridgewater-Raritan visiting Hillsborough in a couple of BCC American Silver match-ups.  Manville hosts Dunellen out of the Freedom Silver in the only Thursday night contest in the BCC this week.  Rahway travels to Watchung Hills in a Liberty Silver match-up while Hillside hosts Carteret in a United Gold contest at Conant Street Park in Hillside on Saturday afternoon.  

Outside BCC play, New Providence hosts Verona in a key North Jersey Group 1 match-up.  Elizabeth hosts Morristown in a rematch of two very close contests, including a first round playoff game in North Jersey Section 2 Group 5.  So let’s dive in by taking a look at all of Big Central Gridion’s Week 6 picks.
