The New Providence Pioneers are the only remaining undefeated school in the Big Central Conference.

And Then, There Was One:  New Providence Is the Only Remaining Undefeated School in BCC

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Entering Week Eleven, and the sectional final round of the playoffs portion of the 2025 New Jersey High School Football season, there is only one team in the Big Central Conference that remains undefeated. 

New Providence of Union County, and the BCC Patriot Silver Division Champion, improved to 10-0 with a thrilling 28-21 upset win in overtime over Hasbrouck Heights in the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2 Group 1 Semifinals last Friday night.  

Manville fell from the ranks of the unbeaten after losing to top-seeded Burlington City in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 1 Semifinals last Friday night.  The Mustangs ended their historic season at 10-1.  The New Providence Pioneers have outscored their foes by an average of 28.9 points per contest. 

The Pioneers have scored an average of 36.4 points per contest.  New Providence returns to action on Friday evening when it hosts fourth-seeded Cedar Grove in the North Jersey Section 2 Group 1 Championship Game at Lieder Field.
