BCC’s Undefeated Teams – Through Week 6

Only six schools in the Big Central Conference remain undefeated, including top-ranked St. Joseph’s

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Entering Week Seven of the 2025 New Jersey High School Football season, there are only six teams in the Big Central Conference that are undefeated.  Three of them still reside in Middlesex County alone, while Somerset has two.  Union has the one remaining undefeated team in New Providence.

Phillipsburg, which was No. 1 in last week’s BCG Top Ten, and Spotswood fell from the ranks of the unbeaten with losses last week.  St. Joseph’s is now the highest-ranked undefeated team at No. 1 in this week’s BCG Top Ten.  Four of the BCC’s undefeated teams are ranked in the top six in the latest BCG Top Ten.

Manville has been the most dominant of the teams with an average margin of victory of 34.4 points per game.  The Mustangs have also recorded three shutouts on the year, while yielding less than a touchdown per contest. The New Providence Pioneers are close behind with a point differential of 28.8 points per contest.

St. Joseph’s knocked Phillipsburg from the ranks of the unbeaten with its second shutout of the season last Saturday.  Manville is also the highest-scoring team amongst this group with a scoring average of 39.7 points per game.  New Providence is close behind with a 36.2 points per game average.  Five of these teams are scoring over 30 points per contest to date.
