The Phillipsburg Stateliners fell to Winslow Township, 35-0 in the 2024 NJSIAA Group 4 State Championship Game at Rutgers University’s SHI Stadium on Wednesday night.

Only Four Games Left
There are only four games left in the 2024 Big Central Conference High School football season. Phillipsburg will be playing in two of them including the annual Thanksgiving Day match-up against Easton and the Group 4 State Championship versus Winslow Township on December 4th at Rutgers.
Mainland Stuns Somerville in OT
Somerville’s Brady Scheier knocks the ball loose from Mainland Regional’s Rocco DeBiaso late in the fourth quarter of the NJSIAA Group 3 State Semifinal at Brooks Field on Friday night. Mainland won in overtime, 36-35.

Phillipsburg will be playing in its first-ever state semifinal/regional championship game on Friday night when it takes on Ramapo in the 2024 NJSIAA North Jersey Group 4 State Semifinal at Bellis Field. The Liners are looking to reach their first state championship game in school history.

BCG Game Preview – Mainland Regional @ Somerville – Group 3 State Semifinal – November 22, 2024
Somerville will be playing in its first-ever state semifinal. The Pioneers won their first sectional championship since 2017, and its 9th overall. The Ville will be hosting a Mainland Regional team that won the 2023 Group 4 State Championship and is making its third straight state semifinal appearance.
BCC Regional Finalists By Year
The 2021 Hillsborough Raiders football team is the only one from the Big Central Conference to win an NJSIAA Regional Final or State Semifinal Game. No Group State Championship Game existed at that time. The NJSIAA implemented that round a year later.
State Playoff Predictions by Bracket – State Semifinals
For the third time in the last four years, the Big Central Conference has two of its member schools playing in state semifinals/regional finals. This year, the Phillipsburg Stateliners and Somerville Pioneers are representing the BCC in this round. The BCC has had 7 teams reach this round of the state playoffs. The 2021 Hillsborough Raiders are the only BCC school to have a win in this round.
