Phillipsburg Stateliners – Sectional Championships

Phillipsburg was one of two schools from the Big Central Conference to claim NJSIAA sectional championships in 2025. The Stateliners were the only BCC school to repeat as sectional champs. It was the 10th sectional championship for Phillipsburg since the playoff format began in 1974.

In the 2025 NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2 Group 4 Championship, Phillipsburg defeated Montgomery (41-21) to claim its tenth sectional championship since the playoff format began in 1974.  Take a look at all ten of Phillipsburg’s sectional championships by year, including the Championship Game results.  Nine of the Stateliners’ sectional titles have come since 2001.
