Alex Schwark, running for his third TD versus West Essex in the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2 Group 3 Semifinals on November 8th, was a key ingredient to Summit’s successful season and No. 1 ranking in the final Big Central Gridiron Union County Top Ten for 2025.

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The final rankings are in for Union County football in 2025, and Summit claims the top spot in the Big Central Gridiron Union County Top 10. The Hilltoppers finished 9-3 overall, won the BCC’s United Gold Division, and reached the North Jersey Section 2 Group 3 final.

New Providence turned in a special season as it was the last Big Central Conference school to fall from the ranks of the unbeaten and finished 10-1 overall. The Pioneers won the BCC’s Patriot Silver Division and reached the North Jersey Section 2 Group 1 Championship Game.

Rahway endured some ups and downs en route to a 6-4 overall mark, but still managed to win a share of the BCC’s Liberty Silver Division and qualify for the North Jersey Section 2 Group 4 playoffs. Cranford had a transition season, but still registered a last-second win over Rahway and qualify for the state playoffs.
