Manville Mustangs Football – Best All-Time Seasons

MANVILLE, NJ – On Friday night, the Manville Mustangs’ historic season ended with a 52-21 loss to top-seeded Burlington City in the 2025 NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 1 Semifinals.  Manville finished its season at 10-1.  The Mustangs set marks for the most wins in school history, first-ever playoff win, first undefeated regular season since 1968, and second Big Central Conference Freedom Silver division title in four years.

How does this year’s edition of the Manville Mustangs football teams stack up against the best teams in school history?  Very favorably.  Not only did this year’s squad win the most games in school history and notch the first-ever playoff win, but it also scored the most points, won by the largest margin of victory per game, and is tied for 2nd in shutouts.

The 2025 Mustangs are the third team in the last eight years to win at least seven games.  A sign that Manville football is no longer a doormat, and perhaps better years and a sectional championship may not be far behind.  Below are the ten best seasons in school history in order by wins in a season.  As you can see, Manville’s Golden Era of football was in the 1960s when the Mustangs were a combined 63-21-6 with nine winning seasons during that decade. The zenith of that era was the 1968 season.

^2025 – Most wins in a season.  Went through the entire regular season undefeated.  Also won first ever playoff game.
